Ingredients

  1. 1.1 lbsfresh mushrooms (500 grams)
  2. 1Italian frying pepper, finely chopped
  3. 2garlic cloves, finely chopped
  4. Salt, pepper
  5. Curry powder, ground cumin
  6. Crushed red pepper flakes, paprika
  7. Dried oregano
  8. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  9. For serving:
  10. leavesLettuce
  11. French fries
  12. Ketchup, mustard
  13. Pita bread for souvlaki
  14. Olive oil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp cloth.

  2. 2

    Slice the mushrooms and add them to a skillet with olive oil.

  3. 3

    Add the chopped pepper and garlic.

  4. 4

    Sauté until all the moisture evaporates.

  5. 5

    Add the spices to taste, and finally stir in the soy sauce.

  6. 6

    Once the mushrooms are caramelized, serve them in warm pita bread with any sides you like.
