Ingredients

20 -25 min
  • 1.5 cupsrice
  • 3large and ripe tomatoes
  • 1onion
  • Garlic and ginger
  • leafBay
  • Spices.. Turmeric, paprika, chili, coriander, pilau masala
  • Ketchup/tomato sauce /chilli sauce
  • 2 tsptomato paste
  • to tasteSalt
  • Vegetables of your choice
  • Vegetable oil

  1. 1

    Get your ingredients ready

    Blanch your vegetables and set aside

    Put some oil in a cooking pot and add in the bay leaf. Add in the onions, ginger, and garlic cloves

  4. 4

    Add in your tomatoes and let them cook for a while. Add on your tomato paste, and spices. Add some water to create a thick paste

    Add the blanched vegetables.. Give a good mix before adding the tomato sauce/ketchup

    See how pretty it looks

    Add your rice, stir a little before adding water.It is also OK to allow the water to boil before adding the rice

    Let it simmer on low heat till ready. Serve with some avocado aiola. Remove the bay leaf before serving
