Ingredients

10 minutes
1 serving
  1. 1chicken breast, boiled & shredded
  2. 1 cupoats
  3. 3-4 cupschicken stock
  4. to tastesalt
  5. 1 tablespoonolive oil
  6. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  7. 1pinchasafoetida
  8. 1 teaspoonginger-garlic, grated
  9. 2 tablespoonfried onions
  10. 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  11. 2 tablespoonspring onion, chopped
  12. 2 tablespooncoriander leaves, chopped
  13. 1 teaspoonghee / lime juice
  14. 1/4 teaspoonred chilli flakes or to taste

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds and asafoetida. Saute for a few seconds. Add the ginger and garlic. Stir fry for a few more seconds.

  2. 2

    Add the oats, salt and the stock. Simmer on a low flame till the oats are cooked and the consistency thickens slightly.

  3. 3

    Switch off the flame and pour into individual serving bowls. Garnish with the shredded chicken, pepper, chilli flakes, spring onion, coriander leaves, fried onion and a drizzle of some ghee / lime juice. Enjoy this amazing one-pot wonder for a soul satisfying meal.
