Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupsOats
  2. 4Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed ( medium)
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1/2 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  5. 1onion finally chopped
  6. 1 teaspoonGaram masala powder
  7. 2 teaspoonsChaat masala
  8. 4 tbspfresh leaves of coriander chopped
  9. 1/2 cupCarrot grated
  10. 4 tablespoonsRefined flour (maida)
  11. As neededOil for shallow frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix potatoes, salt, red chilli powder, onion, garam masala powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves, carrot and four tablespoons oats in a bowl.

    Add 6 tbsp water to the refined flour and make a thick batter.

  3. 3

    Spread the remaining oats evenly to the plate. Now divide the potato mixture into eight equal portion and give them a shape of tikkis.

  4. 4

    Dip them in batter and roll in the oats and keep aside.

  5. 5

    Heat the non stick tawa and shallow fry the tikkis on medium heat turning aside till both sides get golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with mint chutney.
