"Kanten (agar)" is a popular ingredient for Wagashi, especially in summer. It looks like jelly but it's made from seaweeds. So it isn't necessary to worry about a protease and we can put any fresh fruits in it! It gets glass like transparency but with a lot of sugar.I made a check pattern Wagashi with less sugar Kanten blocks of milk and sweet ones of Earl Grey (black tea). It's lovely marriage! Simple Black Tea Mousse with Marshmallows Simple Black Tea Mousse with Marshmallows
I bought a stockpile of marshmallows and had some left over, and I wanted to make a dessert to use them all up at once, so I made this. Please adjust the amount of milk to suit your tastes (150 ml will make this rather sweet). In Step 4, if you pour the mixture into the cups while it's still hot it will be very bubbly, so please pour it in after letting it sit for a while. If you pour it into one bowl first and then add it bit by bit to individual cups, the bubbles will decrease, and it will be well balanced. You can play around with the tastes by using flavored black tea if you like. I made this with framboise (raspberry) flavored tea. Recipe by ne-ne cookpad.japan -
No-Waste Powdered Tea! No-Waste Powdered Tea!
A friend of mine heard that if you turn tea leaves into powder, you can make a huge amount of tea from it. It sounded like it would be good for you, too, so I tried making it.If you keep the blender running continuously, the motor will heat up. Be sure to stop it from time to time. The tea leaves turn very fine and become much more fragrant. To make tea with a tiny amount of the powdered tea leaves, mix very well after adding the powder to hot or cold water. Recipe by Myuu samada cookpad.japan
