Fresh green peas are available in Winter season and they are tender and sweet in taste. Being seasonal vegetable they are available at affordable price.

Peas are an excellent sauce of dietary fiber and vitamin C. They also provide some protein, iron, zinc, and niacin. Peas will need to be blanched before freezing. This helps maintain vitamins and reduces the actions of enzymes.
