Cooking Instructions

Semiya Biryani: Heat a Kadai, Add little ghee, fry cashew nuts & raisins and keep it aside. Now add little more ghee, fry semiya (1 Cup) till it becomes light brown and keep it aside. In same pan, add ghee (little), cloves (4), cinnamon (1 inch), cardamom (4) and bay leaf (1). Saute it. Add finely chopped onion (1) and saute it till it becomes translucent. Now add ginger-garlic paste. Now add finely chopped tomato (1) and saute well.

Add turmeric powder (little) & garam masala (little). Add green peas, chopped carrot, beans and cauliflower pieces. Add water (2 cups) and salt (to taste) and boil until the vegetables are cooked. Now add previously roasted semiya and mix it properly and keep it on medium flame till semiya is cooked.

Garnish with previously fried cashew nuts & raisins, finely chopped coriander leaves. Now serve it hot with Raita and Enjoy.

For Raita: In a bowl add curd, then add Chopped onions, tomatoes and green chillies (1) and salt (to taste). Mix well.
