In a bowl put all ingredients of dough and mix together... And knead a soft dough with water.. and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Strain dal and coarsly grind it..

For filling take a pan put 2 tsp oil, asafoetida, all dry spices and grind urad dal and fry for some time. then add salt. Fry it for 2 minute to get dry and crisp stuffing..

Now take a ball out of the dough.. make it flat with hands and fill 1 tsp stuffing in between and make a round with no cracks..

Now roll a thick puri from it

Heat desi ghee in kadhai and deep fry poori on medium flame till golden brown and crisp from both side..

Take it out from oil on paper napkin..

Enjoy hot bedmi poori with chatpati potato sabji..
