Ingredients

1.1 lbsshredded kataifi dough (about 500 grams)
1.1 lbsAkawi cheese (about 500 grams)
Clarified butter (ghee)
Simple syrup

Steps

Finely chop the kataifi dough, mix it with clarified butter, and spread a layer in a baking pan.

Add the cheese, then cover with another layer of kataifi dough.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 minutes until golden brown.

After baking, pour hot simple syrup over the kanafeh. Enjoy!
