Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbsshredded kataifi dough (about 500 grams)
  • 1.1 lbsAkawi cheese (about 500 grams)
  • Clarified butter (ghee)
  • Simple syrup

Steps

  1. 1

    Finely chop the kataifi dough, mix it with clarified butter, and spread a layer in a baking pan.

  2. 2

    Add the cheese, then cover with another layer of kataifi dough.

  3. 3

    Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 minutes until golden brown.

  4. 4

    After baking, pour hot simple syrup over the kanafeh. Enjoy!
