Ingredients

  • 250 gmBittergourd chopped into small pieces
  • Soak it in saline water
  • 2 tbspTamarind pulp
  • 1 tspJaggery
  • to tasteSalt
  • 5Green chillies cut into slits
  • 1/2 tspMethi seeds
  • 1/2 tspMustard
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  • 1Onions big size
  • 2Tomatoes
  • 1 tspGinger garlic paste
  • as neededFresh coriander and Curry leaves
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 2Dry red chillies
  • 2 tbspOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a pan add oil

  2. 2

    Add methi seeds and let it turn brown.. most imp ingredient in this dish 😊

  3. 3

    You get a beautiful arama of methi seeds add tampering and onions, green chillies, turmeric salt, ginger garlic paste tomato

  4. 4

    After turning brown add Bittergourd (squeeze the water)

  5. 5

    Cook for 10 to 15 mnts add tamarind pulp, jaggery and check the spoon

  6. 6

    Close lid for 10 more minutes and turn off

  7. 7

    You get a beautiful aroma of sweet and tangy flavours

  8. 8

    It stays 2 to 3 days in refrigerator

  9. 9

    Less oil and min masalas, it's a healthy recipe.. Please try for sure !
