6 servings
  • 3 Tbspbacon grease
  • 1 Tbspbutter
  • 5medium yellow squash (sliced thin)
  • 1medium sweet onion sliced
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 1/2 tsppepper

Steps

  1. 1

    In cast iron skillet, heat bacon grease and butter. Add squash and onion.

  2. 2

    Sprinkle sugar over squash and onion. Cook over medium/low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Serve
