Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 3 Tbspbacon grease
  2. 1 Tbspbutter
  3. 5medium yellow squash (sliced thin)
  4. 1medium sweet onion sliced
  5. 1 tspsugar
  6. 1/2 tsppepper

Steps

  1. 1

    In cast iron skillet, heat bacon grease and butter. Add squash and onion.

  2. 2

    Sprinkle sugar over squash and onion. Cook over medium/low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Serve
