To make mat cover, in a bowl add all purpose flour,salt,oil and carom seeds and mix it well. Make soft dough and rest it for 1/2 hour.

For stuffing, take chickpea in a chopper.

Chopped the chickpea and mash the potatoes.

In a pan, heat oil add asafoetida, mustard and sesame seeds. Add green chilli then add potatoes, chickpeas and all dry spices. Add coriander leaves and mix it well.

Take small portion of the dough and roll it with the help of rolling pin. Cut it in to long streets.

Arrange the streets like a mat.

Put small roll of stuffing on the prepared mat.

Pack the stuffing roll over with prepared mat.

Deep fry all rolls till it turns golden in colour.

Serve it hot with tamarind chutney or tomato sauce or green chutney.
