Steps

Soak 1 cup of Raw Rice for 4 hours.

First grind coconut and next add all the above things except baking soda and grind to smooth batter

Mix with salt and the batter has to Ferment for 12 hours in room temperature.

You can add pinch of Baking / Cooking soda.before cook.Mix gently & leave for 10 minutes.

Pour the batter to Appam tawa & Swirl around so it stick to sides. Close & cook it.

When the edges are crispy. The center part is bulged & cooked through. Remove it appam cooks only on one side.

Aapam is ready. You can serve with coconut milk, chicken curry and maasi curry.
