Ingredients

15 minutes
Serves 6 servings
  • 1/2onion
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • Vegetable oil and plant-based margarine for frying
  • 1/2 cuplentils (about 100 grams)
  • 1 cuprice (about 200 grams)
  • Hot water
  • Spices:
  • All-purpose seasoning
  • Pinchcumin
  • Pinchturmeric
  • Pinchsalt

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the lentils and cook until tender. (Meanwhile, soak the rice in water.)

  2. 2

    Slice the onion and cut the garlic into rounds. Place them in a pot, add vegetable oil and margarine, and sauté until golden.

  3. 3

    Add the cooked lentils and spices to the pot. Pour in hot water and bring to a boil. Add the rice, stir well, and cook until the water is absorbed.

  4. 4
