Chatpata chana

Soak black chick pea (black gram) overnight.

In a cooker add the chana with 1.5 glass water. Add little salt. Wait till 6 whistles and turn off the flame.

Take a pan add oil into it. Add 1tsp cumin seeds along with cinnamon,cloves and bay leaves.

Now add garlic to the pan. Wait till it turns golden brown in colour.

Now add onions to the pan. Let it turn brown by occasionally stirring the mixture.

Once it turns brown,sprinkle kasturi methi on it. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, chana masala to it.

Now add tomato puree to the pan. Mix it evenly. Cover it with a lid for few minutes. Stir in between.

Now add maggi masala magic powder to it. And add chana masala to the mixture. By now the mixture will smell good.

When it starts releasing oil from the corners. Add boiled chana to it.

Mix it properly. Now add the remaining water (which was present in the cooker while boiling it). Cover the pan with a lid. And let it cook on low flame.

Now when the whole water gets absorbed and you get a dry chana. Sprinkle with amchoor (dry mango powder). Mix it evenly. Your chatpata chana is ready to serve.

You can serve it with poori as well as parantha..
