Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 200 gmsSnake gourd(Pudalangai)
  2. 50 gmsMoong dal
  3. 50 gmsgrated coconut
  4. 3red chilies
  5. 2 tablespoons jeera, salt
  6. 1 tsp perungayam powder, urad dal, curry leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    First cut the vegetable into ring shaped pieces. Then add a cup of water and bake it.

  2. 2

    In a mixer grinder prepare a paste with red chilli, jeera, grated coconut, perungayam powder.

  3. 3

    Add this paste to boiling item. Then add the baked Moong dal

  4. 4

    Allow to cook for 10 minutes. Then the Kootu is ready.

  5. 5

    In a pan add urad dal, jeera and curry leaves and fry with cooking oil. Add this mixture to Kootu.

  6. 6

    The dish is ready to taste.
