Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupsemolina or suji
  2. 1 tbsproasted peanuts
  3. 1 tbspcubed carrots
  4. 1 tbspgreen peas or
  5. 1 tbspbeans
  6. 1 tspchopped coconut
  7. 1/2chopped tomato
  8. 1 tsplemon juice
  9. 10-12curry leaves
  10. To tastesalt
  11. 1 pinchsugar optional
  12. 1/2 tspurad dal
  13. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  14. 1/2 tspginger paste or chopped finely
  15. 3chopped green chillies
  16. 1onion chopped
  17. 1 tspchopped coriander leaves
  18. 2 tbspoil
  19. 1 cupwater approximately

Steps

  1. 1

    Dry roast lightly semolina and set aside.Semi boil the vegetables separately and set aside.

  2. 2

    Pour oil in a non stick pan and fry the curry leaves and set aside.Roast the peanuts.

  3. 3

    To the remaining oil sprinkle mustard and urad dal.When they splutter, add the chopped onion and fry lightly.Now add chopped ginger or paste.Fry for sometime and add the chopped tomato, fried or roasted curry leaves and green chillies.Toss and add the boiled vegetables and chopped coconut.Now add the suji,salt and sugar (optional), peanuts and water.Bring to boil.When semi dry add lemon juice.Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
