Ingredients

3-4 servings
  • 100 gMalabar cucumber
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 3/4th small jar grater Coconut
  • 1 tbspraw rice
  • 4green chillies
  • 3red chillies(2 to grind, 1 to splutter)
  • 1/4 tspMustard seeds
  • 1 sprigcurry leaves
  • 1/4 tspmethi seeds powder
  • 1.5 Cupscurd

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook Malabar cucumber in water with salt and turmeric.

  2. 2

    Make a paste of coconut, roasted red chillies, green chillies, and washed raw rice.

  3. 3

    Add to the cooked vegetables and boil well.

  4. 4

    Add beaten curd to it and just heat. Do not boil.

  5. 5

    Add roasted and powdered methi seeds to it.

  6. 6

    Splutter mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Add to morukootan and serve hot with rice.
