The Palakkad Iyer style of making the yummy coconut yoghurt gravy.
Steps
- 1
Cook Malabar cucumber in water with salt and turmeric.
- 2
Make a paste of coconut, roasted red chillies, green chillies, and washed raw rice.
- 3
Add to the cooked vegetables and boil well.
- 4
Add beaten curd to it and just heat. Do not boil.
- 5
Add roasted and powdered methi seeds to it.
- 6
Splutter mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Add to morukootan and serve hot with rice.
