Ingredients

50 minutes
3 servings
  • 250 gmLadys finger
  • 8-10Pointed gourd (medium size)
  • 4-5Potato (boiled and cut into pieces)
  • 1 tbspSaboot Garam Masala (if possible grind it on silbatta)
  • 1-2 teaspoonCumin seeds (grind on silbatta with pepper corn)
  • 7-8Pepper corn (grind with cumin seeds on silbatta)
  • 2Bay leaves
  • 1-2tableapoon Gram flour
  • 1 tablespoonSemolina
  • 1 tablespoonLime juice
  • 1 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoonRed chilli powder
  • To tasteSalt
  • 1/2 cupoil

Steps

50 minutes
  1. 1

    For aloo parwal sabji, firstly clean pointed gourd and mark slits on both then end of it and if it size is big you can cut them into two equal halves.

    Heat oil in pan and stir fry pointed gourd and boiled potato one-by-one.

  3. 3

    In another pan, heat a tableapoon of oil and in it add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds and bay leaves and allow it splatter.

  4. 4

    Now add cumin-pepper corn paste in it and half portion of all spices along with salt and quickly add stir fried vegetables in it and cook it well.

  5. 5

    Now add water as per your choice and cook it.

  6. 6

    When it's almost done add handmade paste of garam masala in it and cook it for another 5 minutes and switch of the flame..

    Your aloo parwal is ready.

    For bharwa bhindi, mark lengthwise slits in lady finger in middle of it and keep it aside.

    In a bowl, mix gram flour, semolina, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and lime juice.

    Now add lady finger in it and coat it well.

    Heat oil in pan and drop those lady fingers on it and shallow fry it.

    Your bharwa bhindi is ready to serve.
