Green grams (ndengu)
How to get the creamy taste without coconuts.
Steps

Fry the onions until they turn golden brown.

I dont like the smell of raw dhania so i grind it with the garlic and add it at this point. I also add chilies at this stage. Stir of about 2 mins.

Add the tomatoes. Cook until the mixture turns into a paste. Add in the tumeric.

Once the mixture is well cooked put in the hoho and cook for a min. Add your crushed royco cubes.

Stir for a while then pour in the milk. Let it cook until the milk boils. Add the green grams and let the food simmer for 5-10mins.

Serve with rice or chapati.
