Ingredients

  • 1santol fruit
  • 1 teaspoonfermented crab paste (nam pu)
  • 1 teaspoonseasoning powder
  • Culantro, to taste
  • Fish sauce
  • Palm sugar
  • Field crab (steamed until cooked)
  • Chili flakes (or dried chilies)
  • Garlic
  • Dried shrimp

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the santol and chop it finely to your liking.

  2. 2

    Pound the garlic and chilies until fine. Add palm sugar, fish sauce, seasoning powder, and fermented crab paste.

  3. 3

    Add the chopped santol to the mixture and mix well. Add the steamed field crab, dried shrimp, and culantro. Mix everything together.

  4. 4

    Serve with betel leaves or acacia leaves for extra flavor. Enjoy!
