  1. 6large eggs
  2. 180 gramssugar, sifted
  3. 180 gramsall purpose flour, sifted
  4. 1 teaspoonvanilla extract

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F). Lightly grease a 10 inches (26 cm cake pan) round springform cake pan and line the base with baking paper.

  2. 2

    Beat the eggs and sugar together in a mixing bowl until thick and pale. Sift in the flour, mixing to combine. Add the vanilla extract and stir until well blended.

  3. 3

    Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes, until set and golden brown. Leave the cake to cool.

Ooo, looks like a very nice, eggy cake. I notice it has no leavening of any kind, and was wondering how the texture is.
