Steps

Remove a tablesppon of besan and set aside. Mix the remaining part of the besan with water to make a batter.

Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of asafeotida to the batter.

Heat the oil in a deep based frying pan. Put bit by bit of the batter into the oil to make some fluffy balls and deep fry them.

Take half tumbler of warm water in a bowl. Take the fried balls out of the frying pan and soak them in the water.

Mix in another bowl the curd with the remaining water and the 1 Tbps of besan.

Remove some oil from the frying pan. Add the curry leaves and mustard seeds alongwith the remaining asafeotida
Fry till they turn brown. - 7
Add the mixture of curd and water to the curry leaves and mustard seeds and cook on a lower flame for 3-4 minutes.

Remove the balls from water and put them in the curd mix. Remove from the flame and allow to cool before serving.
