Ingredients

25 minutes
3 servings
  • 1 cupWhole Wheat Flour
  • 1-1/2 tablespoonOnion , finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoonsCoriander (Dhania) Leaves , finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoonsCarrot (Gajjar) , grated
  • 1/3 teaspoonCumin (Jeera) seeds
  • 1/3 teaspoonAjwain (Carom seeds)
  • 2 teaspoonsGhee , for making dough
  • Cooking oil , to deep fry
  • to tasteSalt ,

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, chopped onion, coriander leaves, grated carrot, cumin seeds, carom seeds, ghee and salt.

  2. 2

    Rub all the ingredients together.

  3. 3

    Sprinkle water little by little and make a stiff dough and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Divide the dough into equal balls medium shape into balls and flatten them.

  5. 5

    Roll the ball into a thin like a puri shape.

  6. 6

    With a sharp knife, cut straight lines,
    From one end, start to make a roll, pinching the ends to bind. Push the two ends of the shaped kordoi gently to plump the middle.

  7. 7

    Deep fry in golden brown and crisp.

  8. 8

    Drain Savoury Kordoi,and
    serve hot with or green chatny or tomato sauce.
