This is my first time cooking pilau. I had to research and found out this recipe that I enjoyed making and feasting on 😋
Steps

In a pot boil the meat to obtain stock. Set aside to cool

In a non-sticking pan, add cooking oil and heat. Adjust to medium heat. Add your onions and stir to turn brown

Add the clean rice to the pan and stir gently until it looses it's translucent colour.

Add garlic, ginger, salt and pilau masala and continue stiring to mix for about 1 min. It still continues obtaining the brownness.

Add half cup of your stock and half cup of the coconut milk. Stir gently and cover for 5 mins. Turn to low heat.

Repeat the above step adding in halves and checking after 5 mins until ready.

In the meantime, fry your meat. In another pot add cooking oil and onions. Add tomatoes and spices. Let it simmer and add your meat. Note that it should not over stay as it was previously boiled. Remove from heat once ready.

Pilau is ready.

Make your salad using onions, pepper, carrots and tomatoes.
