Cook the chickpeas is soaked for at least 8hours with a little salt & sufficient water. And Keep it without removing water.

Heat a pan and add oil. Put the grated coconut & fry until it turns brown. Grind it to a smooth paste & keep a side.

Same pan heat oil in a pan,add mustard seed & allow to sputters, then add ginger, garlic, & curry leaves, red chillies and saute for few minutes.

Add onion, green chilli and saute until onion turns light golden brown colour. Then add kadala curry masala and stir well.

To this mixture add cooked chickpeas along with water & boil well.

Add coconut paste, salt and water and cook for few minute in medium flame.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
