Ingredients

  • 1 cupUrad dhuli dal
  • Pinchhing
  • Salt as par taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1Chopped green chilli
  • Little chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tspJeera seeds
  • #For_The_Dahi
  • 2 cupsThick yogurt
  • 1/2 cupMilk
  • PinchSugar
  • 1 tspdry roasted jeera powder
  • 1 tspBlack salt
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 2 tbspSweet tamrind chutney
  • Few pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbspBoondi
  • 1 tbspNamkeen sev

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the dal for 6 hours in water and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Then take out extra water and add all the ingredients of the bhalle except oil and grind it into a mixture.

  3. 3

    In a kadai heat oil for frying.

  4. 4

    Now take a tablespoon of the mixture on your palm and place it in the hot oil and fry then till golden crisp.

  5. 5

    Now deep them in some water for 1/2 hour.

  6. 6

    Beat the yogurt and add milk and sugar to it.

  7. 7

    Gently squeeze water from the bhalle and place them in half the beaten yogurt mixture.

  8. 8

    Now in a serving plate lay out the dahi and bhalla and then pour some jeera powder, black salt, red chilli powder and some sweet chutney.

  9. 9

    Garnish Dahi Bhalla with pomegranate seeds, boondi and sev. Serve immediately.
