Steps

  1. 1

Clean and cut open your snails in the center and set aside

  2. 2

Blend pepper, garlic, onions, seasoning cubes, efuru and groundnut oil together, add it to the snails and chill for 3hours in your refrigerator.

  3. 3

Take out the snail and place on heat, allow to simmer for 3-5minutes then add a cup of water and allow to cook. Check after 10minutes and add more water if need be, allow to cook for 20minutes more.

  4. 4

Add salt to taste, and add the ugba. Allow to cook for 10minutes but be careful with the water you add from now cos you don't want to have snail pepper soup😀.

  5. 5

As the water dries and the snail is done, add the red oil and allow to cook till the water is almost dried up, turn thoroughly and serve hot. You can choose to add akwukwo anara or utazi as garnish, enjoy.
