Blend dal, cloves, coconut crush in mixer

Now take oil in pan on medium flame. Add red chilli, bay leaf, asafoetida. Then add turmeric and chilli powder, then remaining spices and daal mixture. Mix well.

After 3-4 min add Puran excess water. Add more water sar must be watery.

Add salt. Boiled it and ready to serve.
Note: Other people can add ginger garlic paste.
