For Dough: In a medium-sized bowl mix both the flours and add salt and mix them properly with your fingers. Now add hot oil in it and knead into a dough with the help of water.

For Filling: Evaporate milk in a kadhai, when it turns into a thick consistency add grated coconut.After 5 minutes add sugar. The mixture will again turn into thin consistency. Keep on stirring and cooking until the mixture becomes dry and turn off the gas.

After that make a 7 inch diameter thin circle now with the help of a steel glass cut out 3 inch diameter circles.

Take one circle place 1/2 tbsp of the mixture (filling) in it. Now make small closely placed pleats of the circle. Bring all the pleats together and twist it into a pointy end. Close it properly and nicely into a modak like shape.

Side by heat the oil in a kadhai after a minute lower the modak in the hot oil and fry it until golden brown in low to medium flame.

Transfer the modak on a plate and is ready to serve.
