Malva Pudding

Malva pudding is one of my favorite desserts and when having people over I used to buy it ready made at the supermarket and serve it with ice cream or custard. As convenient as that is nothing beats making it homemade . The results are delish even more than the one we buy at the shops. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Malva pudding is one of my favorite desserts and when having people over I used to buy it ready made at the supermarket and serve it with ice cream or custard. As convenient as that is nothing beats making it homemade . The results are delish even more than the one we buy at the shops. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Steps

Preheat oven to 180 degrees and grease your baking dish

Cream butter and sugar till fluffy before beating in the jam. Add eggs one at a time.

Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda into the milk.

Sift flour into a separate bowl.

Alternatively add the flour and milk mixture to the butter mixture.

Lastly add the vinegar. Pour the pudding mixture into the the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 30 mins.

While the pudding is baking add the sauce ingredients into a saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer.

Once pudding is ready pour the sauce evenly over it and serve warm with custard.

As a variation I like to make chocolate Malva pudding by adding 30g cocoa powder to the flour mixture.
