Sriracha Sauce
This is one of the popular hot sauces in America. I ran out at home, so I made it myself using my own method, and it turned out just like the store-bought version—actually, even tastier! I was so happy with the result, and my family loved it too. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thank you! 😃

Steps
- 1
Place the tomato sauce in a cup, add the water, and stir until the sauce is dissolved and thickened.
- 2
Pour the mixture into a cooking pot, add the red pepper, stir, and add 1/4 cup water (about 60 ml). Once it starts to heat up, add the spices and stir well.
- 3
Slice the green chili peppers lengthwise, add them to the pot, stir, cover, and cook for 6 minutes. Keep the pot covered, as the sauce will have a strong aroma.
- 4
Remove from heat, stir well, and pour into an airtight container or jar. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- 5
Serve with meals or snacks like chips or savory pastries.
- 6
To tell if a green chili pepper is hot: if it looks shiny and feels firm and full of seeds (plump), it is likely to be very spicy, as shown in the picture.
