Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500-600 gChicken Tenderloins or Breast Fillets
  2. 2-3 tablespoonsPotato Starch Flour
  3. 2-3 tablespoonsOil
  4. Spring Onion *chopped
  5. <Sauce Ingredients>
  6. 2 TablespoonsSoy Sauce
  7. 1 tablespoonSugar
  8. 1 tablespoonMirin
  9. 2-3 tablespoonsWater
  10. 1small piece Ginger *grated
  11. 1 cloveGarlic *grated
  12. 1-2 teaspoonsToban Djan (Chili Bean Sauce)

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

  2. 2

    Cut Chicken Tenderloins or Breast Fillets into 3 to 4cm size, then coat with Potato Starch Flour. This layer of flour will turn to jelly-like when combined with sauce. Please make sure the Chicken pieces are very well coated.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a frying pan and cook Chicken. Tenderloins won’t take long to cook. You don’t need to brown the Chicken.

  4. 4

    When Chicken are cooked, using paper towel remove excess oil in a pan, then add sauce and combine all well.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle chopped Spring Onions on top and serve.
