Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1/2 cupgrated beetroot
  2. 1/4 tspturmeric powder (optional)
  3. 1/2 cupwater
  4. 2 table spoonall purpose flour
  5. 2 tablespoonrawa
  6. 1/2 table spoongram flour
  7. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  8. 1 teaspoonsesame seeds
  9. 1/2 cupoil for moyan
  10. 150 mloil for frying

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix grated beetroot in water.

  2. 2

    Now strain it, we'll get beetroot water for kneading mathri dough.

  3. 3

    Keep aside for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Now take all purpose flour, besan,rawa.

  5. 5

    Add salt, ajwain, turmeric powder, moyan.

  6. 6

    Now knead tight dough using beetroot water.

  7. 7

    Keep aside for 15 minutes.

  8. 8

    Now take big ball from it.

  9. 9

    Roll it and from cookies cutter or glass cut into small round shapes.

  10. 10

    Now take 5 small rolls.

  11. 11

    Apply water over rolls and Keep one over each other from centre of first.

    Now start rolling and make lodge.

    With the help of knife cut into two halves

    In the same way make all.

    Now dip fry in hot oil at medium flame.

    Mathri are ready enjoy with tea and achar.
