Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 450° Cook the 8 sausage patties and render your fat. Set patties and fat aside with 1/4 cup of flour. Fat and flour is for gravy
- 2
Make the basic bicuit mix on the bisquick box. Add basil, crushed red peppers, salt & pepper to biscuit mix.
- 3
Roll dough in your hands and make as many flat biscuits as you can to line the bottom of a cast iron pan.
- 4
Once your dough is rolled, place a spoonful of cream cheese on each biscuit and put a sausage patty on the top of all the biscuits and cream cheese
- 5
Scramble your eggs. (Add spices for your taste). Pour eggs over biscuits and sausage.
- 6
Add cheese to the top of your mix. You dont have to use sliced cheese, its just what i had. I like it a bit crispy and burnt anyways.
- 7
Place cast iron in oven uncovered and bake for 20 minutes. Check at about 15 minutes to make sure biscuits are not doughy. There will be a crispy layer of eggs around the outside of the biscuits. Make sure you scrape this into your bowl when you serve it.
- 8
Now you make your flour, milk and grease gravy. Make a rue with grease and flour add milk. Cook until creamy and thick. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- 9
Once your bake is done, smother with gravy, eat and be fat and happy

I’m visiting my daughter in Kentucky and we’re needing some comfort food. Bad storms came through and my nerves are...😳this is pure convenience comfort. It’s a simple little pan of omg I needed that. It’s so NOT gummy. It’s just clean and super simple and the guy that invented country gravy mix deserves a Nobel prize. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -

Biscuits and Gravy Biscuits and Gravy
I first fell in love with this hearty brunch meal moving to the Mid West when I was younger. The restaurant I had it in was never replicated in flavor at any other establishment or recipe I came across. I've tried duplicating that recipe many, many times. This still honestly isn't close but it is full of flavor. I use pinch terminology in my ingredients as the spices should just be back notes and not prominent. When you try this, taste the gravy as you go and adjust. I do every single time as the breakfast sausage you use can alter the results. Taylor Topp Comacho -

I think this was a Pinterest find and a good one at that. I have to hand write my "finds" or I never find them again! The nice thing about this is it keeps well, slices nicely and kept me from making breakfast for three or four days. cindybear
