Ingredients

12 servings
  1. Coconut oil
  2. 2eggs
  3. 1 calmond meal/flour
  4. 1 1/2 Tgrated Parmesan cheese
  5. 2 tspdried oregano
  6. 1 tspgarlic powder
  7. 12Mozzarella string cheese, 1 oz each, cut in half
  8. 3/4 cMarinara or pizza sauce, optional

Steps

  1. 1

    In small skillet wide enough th accommodate length of cheese stick, pour oil deep enough to cover cheese. Heat to 375°F.

  2. 2

    In med. bowl whisk eggs.

  3. 3

    In another med. bowl, combine almond meal, Parmesan, oregano and garlic powder. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Roll cheese sticks in eggs then almond meal mixture. Fry for 30 seconds until lightly browned. Transfer to cooling rack with paper towel underneath to drain.

    Add more oil as needed and heat to 375°F. Repeat with remaining sticks. Serve with sauce for dipping.
