Ingredients

  1. 4Potato Boiled
  2. 2Onion Optional
  3. 3green chilli
  4. For tempering
  5. 1 tsp Cumin
  6. 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  7. 2 pinch asafoetida
  8. 1 tsp Coriander seeds
  9. 4-5Curry leaves
  10. 2-3 Cupgram Flour
  11. as neededWater
  12. to tastesalt
  13. 2 tspSugar
  14. as neededCoriander leaves Optional
  15. 1 tspturmeric powder
  16. as neededOil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a pan, add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin, coriander seeds. Now add curry leaves, chillies and chopped onion. Fry onion till it becomes light brown. Add sugar,salt, turmeric powder in that. Now add chopped potatoes mix it well and fry 2-3 minutes. Add coriander leaves. Cover the plate and off the flame.

    Now in a separate bowl take gram flour, in that add a little salt and 2 Tspn hot oil. Now taking care of consistency add water in that. (Consistency should be like fritters.)

    Now heat oil in pan. Make small balls of potato sabji. With help of spoon roll this into gram flour batter and then fry in oil on low flame.

    Remove from oil after it becomes golden brown. Serve with sauce or coconut chatani.
