Ingredients

  1. 3 cupscooked rice
  2. 200 gramswhite button mushrooms - cleaned and chopped into small pieces
  3. 3 tablespoonoil or ghee
  4. 1/2 teaspoonmustard
  5. 2 teaspoonudad dal
  6. 1/2 teaspoonmethi powder
  7. 1 teaspoonasafoetida
  8. 1onion
  9. 2 tablespoongarlic finely chopped
  10. 2 inchginger
  11. 1/2 cupcoriander leaves
  12. 2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  13. 1 tablespoonchilli chopped
  14. 4 tablespoonsapple cider vinegar

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan heat oil or ghee.

    Add mustard and udad dal.

  3. 3

    After it turns little pink, add garlic and onion. Saute for 2 mins.

    Add methi powder and asafoetida. Stir it.

  5. 5

    Add mushrooms, turmeric and little salt.

  6. 6

    Cover till it leaves water and is completely cooked.

    Add ginger, coriander, chilli powder and salt. Cover for 2 minutes.

    Add vinegar and mix well.

  9. 9

    Add cooked rice. Saute for few minutes.

  10. 10

    Serve with daal.
