These Nankhatais are amazing with chai. And The richness of the butter just complements the sweet aroma of the roses. Some unique taste to regular nankhatai by adding rose petals to it.

These Nankhatais are amazing with chai. And The richness of the butter just complements the sweet aroma of the roses. Some unique taste to regular nankhatai by adding rose petals to it.

In a bowl, use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour & baking powder(moyan)until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the rose petals, cardamom and icing sugar, then combine with your hands until the dough starts to come together.(dough consistency should be like samosa dough)

Pour in the rosewater until a firm dough is formed.
Make small balls & make sure there are no cracks init.
Flatten balls a little & press slivered badam on it. - 3
Line a baking tray with parchment and place the cut cookies a few centimetres apart. Chill in the fridge for around 20 minutes, until nice and cold and firm.

Preheat ur OTG. Set temperature of 180 degrees.
Once hot, bake the cookies for 15-17 minutes, or until golden. - 5
Remove from the oven and let it cool on wire rack. Decorate with a few rose petals.
