Cone Dosa

It is a famous South Indian breakfast dish. Usually dosa is flat and circular in it's shape. But so far as cone dosa is concerned it resembles a cone especially in shape and thus different from the normal dosa by technique only though the taste of both is same. And because of it's appealing and eye-catching shape it is popular among the food lovers.

Soak the rice, dal and fenugreek seeds in water for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Wash them properly and grind them to a smooth batter.

Leave the batter to ferment for about 6 hours.

Now add salt to your taste and the batter is ready to make dosa.

Heat the dosa pan/tawa. Pour a ladleful of batter on to it and spread it on a circular shape with the ladle. Drizzle with oil or ghee all over it and allow the dosa to cook on a medium flame until golden brown and crisp.

Once the dosa is cooked, make a slit in the dosa from it's centre to the edge with a knife or pizza cutter. Keep the flame low. Using your hands carefully roll the dosa into a cone.Repeat the process for rest of the batter to make cone dosa.

Now serve it hot with any chutney or sambar.
