Ingredients

15-20 min
  • 5medium sized radishes finely diced
  • 2large tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 2-3curry leaves
  • 1 Tbsptamarind pulp(paste)
  • 2-3 Tbspany cooking Oil for frying
  • To tasteSalt
  • 1 tbsp Chutney powder
  • 10-12dry red chillies
  • 1/4 tspcoriander seeds(dhaniya)
  • 1/4 tspjeera/cumin seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a wide pan and heat 1 tsp of oil. Fry all the ingredients for the chutney powder till the chillies are crisp. Do not burn the chillies just changing the colour.

  2. 2

    Transfer the mixture onto a plate and let it cool to room temperature. Make a powder adding a pinch of salt.

  3. 3

    Add the roughly chopped tomatoes, and continue frying till the tomatoes are cooked.

  4. 4

    Turn off the heat. Let it cool to room temperature.

  5. 5

    Add the fried mash, tamarind pulp, Chutney powder to your blender and blend it to a smooth consistency. Do not add water.

  6. 6

    Add salt if necessary according to your taste. Transfer it into a bowl and your radish Chutney is ready to serve
