Whether your phở cuốn tastes great or not depends on the dipping sauce! This recipe can also be used as a dipping sauce for boiled snails. Adjusting the ratio of ingredients will change the flavor of the sauce.

Heat a pan and lightly coat with oil. Add 1 tablespoon unsalted butter and let it melt. Add ground beef and stir-fry. Season with 1 teaspoon fish sauce and 1 teaspoon MSG.

Wash the herbs thoroughly. Lay the rice noodle sheet flat on a clean surface. Place the herbs and beef in the center of the sheet. Roll tightly so the filling doesn't fall out.

For the dipping sauce: Mix 2 tablespoons sugar, 5 tablespoons hot water, 1 tablespoon fish sauce, 1/2 tablespoon vinegar, and 2/3 tablespoon lime juice. Stir well. Crush and finely chop garlic, chili, and ginger. Briefly rinse them in hot water to reduce their sharpness, then add to the sauce mixture. Slice a little cilantro stem and add for color.

P.S.: If you prefer a milder sauce, add 1 more tablespoon of boiling water to the same recipe.
