My son and hubby are not so fond of sweets but whenever I prepare this at home they makes sure they eat handful and then comment that the sweet was tasty and equal to store bought sweet. So, on any given occassion I love preparing this sweet for my family coz this dish is hard to resist.

Prepare sugar syrup to one string consistency with 1/4th cup of water and 3tsp of ghee

Meanwhile, In a pan or kadai, heat the ghee until it is slightly warm, not hot. Add gram flour and roast in low flame till the raw smell is gone

Now pour the sugar syrup into the roasted gram dal mix. Stir to combine the mixture well.

Pour in a well greased container. After 15 minutes, while still warm, cut into rectangular pieces.

Allow it to cool for another 30 mins. Melting mysorepak is ready to be served.
