Ingredients

  • 1.1 lbsground beef or lamb (500 grams)
  • 1small onion, grated
  • 1 tablespoonlamb fat (or beef fat)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper
  • Mixed spices (such as allspice, cumin, or your favorite blend)

Steps

    Mix all the ingredients together, then shape the mixture around skewers.

  2. 2

    Arrange the skewers on a baking sheet and bake in the oven. Heat a piece of charcoal, place it in a small dish, and add 1 tablespoon of lamb fat on top. Put the dish in the oven with the kofta as it cooks to infuse a smoky flavor.

  3. 3

    Once done, the kofta will be fully cooked with a delicious smoky taste, just like at a restaurant. Serve in sandwiches, or with orzo pasta or regular pasta.
