Rinse the lentils under cold water.

Peel and dice the carrots or sweet potato, onion, and potato.

Place everything in a heated blender with the water and beef bouillon cube. Set to the soup or purée setting.

After about 20 minutes, when the soup is blended, add the sour cream and celery salt. Mix well. Serve with slices of chorizo.
