Everyone loves mango. Mangoes are favorite in any form . This mango burfi has perfect balanced flavor of mangoes and coconut. This burfi is little bit different, without oil and mava. It's made with only mango and coconut. It’s a very healthy version, you can eat as much as you want. It's burfi is soft and moist juicy. You can use any type of mangoes, but if best quality less fibrous manges (alphonso or kesar) are available to use to get the best result.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 cupdesignated coconut powder
  2. 1 1/2 cupmango puree
  3. 4-5sugar (as per sweetness of mango)

Steps

  1. 1

    Grease the Tray of container with ghee or butter and keep it aside.

  2. 2

    Take coconut in a pan on medium heat.

  3. 3

    Roast it with stirring continuously till it gets lightly brown. You will get nice roasted aroma of coconut

  4. 4

    Add Mango puree (pulp) and sugar.

  5. 5

    Mix it and keep cooking on medium heat.

  6. 6

    Don't forget to stir constantly.

  7. 7

    Keep Cooking till it dries out, becomes thick and will come together like a big lump. It takes 10-12 mins.

  8. 8

    Turn off the gas, add cardamom powder and mix (it's optional)

  9. 9

    Remove it to a greased tray or container. Spread it evenly and smooth out the surface.

  10. 10

    Sprinkle coconut powder on top and press it lightly so it sticks to the burfi. Let it cool completely so it sets. You can keep it in fridge also.

  11. 11

    Once set, cut into pieces and serve.
