Kakera pitha is a traditional odia pitha. I just make some twist in it. While making the kakera pithas I added some custard in it to make some different flavour.

Kakera pitha is a traditional odia pitha. I just make some twist in it. While making the kakera pithas I added some custard in it to make some different flavour.

First of all make the custard.

Then add the salt, sugar,ghee and 1 cup prepared custard into it and mix it well.

Put milk in a vessel and then add custard powder and sugar and mix it well. After a little thickening of the milk switch off the flame and keep it aside.

For making kakera take water in a kadai and allow it to boil.

Then add the salt, sugar, ghee and 1 cup of prepared custard into it and mix it well.

Then add the semolina into it and stir it continuously to make a dough.

Switch off the flame and allow it to cool down.

Knead it with your hand by greasing the hand with ghee.

Then make the kakera pithas and dip fry them in oil. Your custard kakeras are now ready to serve. You may store them in air tight container for two days.
