Ingredients

8-10 minutes
4-5 servings
  1. 1.5 cupsoaked chana dal
  2. 1 cupgrated coconut
  3. 1/2 tbspginger chilli paste
  4. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  6. 1 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  7. 1/2 tspcumin seeds (optional)
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 1/2 tbspchilli flakes
  10. as neededOil for dip frying

Steps

8-10 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the chana dal for approximately 2 hour.

  2. 2

    Then grind chana dal with grated coconut.

  3. 3

    Mix the remaining ingredients except oil with it.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a kadai and dip fry by making the batter in vada shapes in medium to low flame.

  5. 5

    Switch off the flame and garnish with some chilli flakes,chopped coriander leaves and black salt and serve hot with any ketchup.
